A back alley doctor is someone who saves people, with no questions asked. You don't need a background, insurance, or need any records. You show up, you pay the price, and you hope that the doctor you asked for is good and not a sketchy mother fucker who will make you die and steal your organs. Luckily, Finnegan isn't that guy. With a high moral code and a very good medical background, he will fix you up like a top of the line surgeon, for half the price. He's paid in money, favors, and trade, and he runs his clinic like his own personal blackmarket. At the same time, he's completely neutral to the political unrest happening in Seattle; all he wants to do is heal people, whether it's a 'rev', a 'civ', or the 'popo'. He also has quite the New York accent, and adores his vices, such as any drug he can get his hands on, and cigs. His addictive personality is the reason he didn't get a formal job, instead settling for his own business in which he can do whatever the hell he wants.

Finnegan Hertz was born to have issues. His dad was gone before he was even born, and his mom was slightly off the rocker. He didn't have any siblings, so he was a lonely child who didn't have many friends till school began. Then, Finn's mom, Maria, started being present far less, until she began disappearing for whole days by the time he got to middle school. Although he was constantly suffering from crippling loneliness that really fucked his development, Finnegan began the habit of putting on a happy face then. Around his friends, he was a completely different person: happy, funny, and always ready for trouble. He was determined to be strong, at least in front of those few people he could call friends.[break][break]
After years of going through the cycle of faking happiness, bottling everything up, and struggling so much, Finn opened up to his girlfriend at the time. They were both 17, and he couldn't be happier with her. With her, he could ignore the fact his mom was never home, and how he didn't even know what his dad looked like, and the fact he had been miserable for years. With her, everything had disappeared and fallen into place. Finnegan talked to her about his dreams of getting into music, and all of his issues were put onto her, bit by bit. It was like the therapy he'd needed for years; except, therapists can't cheat on you and make your mental health crash to the ground because of it. It was on one of their anniversaries when Finn found his girlfriend in bed with one of his friends, and it shattered his already fragile heart and mind.[break][break]
Since then, Finnegan has avoided love like the plague, instead settling for being the heart breaker rather than the heart broken. He also hasn't opened up to anyone since those times, which leaves lots of chaos ringing his mind constantly. Once Finn graduated from high school, he went to the best medical school in New York, and got his doctorate at the top of his class. Although he sure as hell doens't act like it, he is very, very intelligent; he just doesn't apply it in social situations.[break][break]
After graduating from there, Finn ended up moving to Seattle after finding himself hooked on drugs and cigs, and started his own little clinic a year ago. Now, Finnegan goes day by day, trying to have some sort of happiness, while also flirting with ever pretty girl and boy in a hundred mile radius.
