Refilling the middle-aged man's cup with more coffee, Corin trailed off to quickly to the individual that'd just taken a seat in a booth, pulling his notepad out of his small apron to take their order. He didn't have to be so eager, the day was as slow as it usually was and he wasn't going to get paid anymore than he usually did, but he was bored so serving customers was a welcome distraction. He was paid hourly, as well as tips, but the individuals that frequented the place almost never left him a tip. There were the rare kind souls that stopped by sometimes and left him money that would immediately go to covering his rent, but those were few and far between. Still, working at the diner was the best gig he'd gotten in months, so he was unwilling to give it up. But even then, sometimes he was forced to resort to alternative methods to feed himself and pay the bills.[break][break]
After taking a few orders and bringing out several plates of food, Corin took a short moment to glance around the establishment. He blinked his dark amber eyes as his gaze landed on a pale-haired woman who seemed to be struggling with her... phone? Simply watching the woman for a moment, he silently debated whether or not to do something. Brows furrowing, he let out a small sigh, pushing away the doubts and anxiety-ridden thoughts that were just waiting to pile up in his head. Shuffling over, Corin tugged at the sleeves of his jacket before leaning forward slightly in an attempt to catch the other's attention. "can I help you, miss?" He questioned, a few strands of hair falling in front of his passive expression. He gestured vaguely to the phone, just in case she didn't understand what he was talking about.
