Well aware of the risks that come with the unhanded methods he makes use of, Konrad has made a habit of carrying around a revolver in case the situation calls for it (which, unsurprisingly it has in the past two years). Deft in the sport, the weapon seems to be his first and perhaps only line of defense when things get iffy.

LESSON ONE

A millionaire businessman, Viktor would resort to any means necessary to attain results. Bribe, blackmail, murder; It mattered not how business was carried out. It mattered not who suffered, or who gained. All that mattered was that cash came gushing into the Oberst manor. Not a cent in Viktor's pockets was earned legitimately. All knew, but no one dared to stand against him. With nary an opposition, Vicktor commanded both wealth and power. After all - "The end justifies all means." And his only son - Konrad Oberst learned this lesson firsthand.[break][break]

SILVER SPOON

"Father knows what he's doing". Viktor was his hero, his teacher, his everything. Five year old Konrad would accompany his father throughout Dusseldorf and beyond, witnessing crimes and transactions his father indulged in from the safety of his luxury sedan. The boy would watch indifferently as people cowered and stuttered before his father. And those who retaliated met a brutal end at which point the boy would turn away. It was sickening, but not once did he question his father's methods and in fact worshiped them. But with power comes greed, and this was the second lesson Konrad had to learn. [break][break]

THE STATES

America - the land of opportunity, and his father's next big venture. 'Course, things didn't transition as smoothly as the Obersts had wanted. The influx of cash wasn't up to par. And so, more drastic measures had to be taken. Apart from his stable company, Viktor would take to narcotic and arms dealing. Twas risky, but there was no pacifying a man that lived by his stubborn rule - "If I want it, I'll have it."

And he did have it. Business hit the roof - so did his influence, so did his wealth. The Obsersts became a name to remember. But alas, nothing good lasts forever. [break][break]

KONRAD OBERST - ATTORNEY AT LAW

"My father was an idiot. He was found guilty and now he's rotting in jail."

Viktor's downfall was not taken lightly. His father's beautiful and seemingly flawless methods shouldn't have failed. The company went in ruins, and his associates slowly faded. It was hopeless to even try to revive the company. That was the end of the Obersts. Konrad, then fifteen, moved to Seattle to live with his uncle. While the life of wealth wasn't lost, meaning in his life did. His father was everything. How this came to be, he knew not.

[break][break]With time he came to cope with reality. And law school was his attempt at a fresh start. A path of righteousness was what he vying for. In fact, by then he hoped to be able to change the system from within and rid corruption in the judiciary body to the best of his abilities. [break][break]

The man was successfully able to pass the bar exam at the age of twenty two and after an year of interning, was able to establish his own firm. Unsurprisingly, as a rookie attorney he was faced with more losses than wins. LOSSES which he couldn't stand, for they reminded him of what a failure his father was. And as much as he hated it, Konrad began to slowly crawl back to his father's methods.

Bribe, blackmail, forgery, manipulation; while his actions were not as heinous as his father's, Konrad did resorted to the lowest of the low to win his cases. And never would he dirty his own hands, keeping his firm as pristine as ever. While his moral compass remains hazy, he now has little regret for what he's done.
