CHEMICALS AND PANTOMIME: "Profanity is the name given to the defilement of the sanctity of human life. A true professional instinctively knows that to effectively commit murder, one must be precise in their actions. One must be attentive to every minuscule detail in their surroundings. One must not allow their own self-gratification to leave a trace of their respective signature behind for anyone else to find. Luckily for me, I absolutely loathe working with professionals! Shed as much blood as you can, while keeping in the back of your mind that you'll only be getting as much as you can waste! Just know sooner or later, you'll be receiving a visit from the cleaners, nyohoho~!"

Virgil, if he was self-aware enough to care about either, would probably hope that you forgot about them both entirely. Preferring to carry himself as somewhat of a walking enigma among his peers, Virgil solemnly speaks of his past, mainly because he's uninterested in it. Often bombarded with theories in regards to the life he lead before lending his services to the revolution, inconclusive conjectures were usually met with the short-answered "maybe" or "could be", only bothering to assert any assumptions as true if they were correct. Though it begs the question of whether or not these are merely whimsical lies stemming from his morbid sense of humor, here's what little is confirmed of Virgil's origins[break][break] ONE WHITE LIE TURNS INTO A BLACK ONE- Based on his flamboyant personality, his flair for the dramatic, and his maddening need to burst out in song during the most inopportune moments, it can be assumed Virgil was a theater major before ultimately pursuing a life of crime. An assumption that has neither been confirmed nor denied on his part, but that doesn't stop his over-inflated ego from asking for applause for his impromptu performance pieces.
- Legally, the man he once was is considered a deceased citizen of the United States. Virgil Valentine isn't his real name, but an alias and separate identity stolen from a hapless "contributor" after a so-called "none too pleasant" altercation took place between past collaborators. Forced into hiding within the confines of his new identity, he's taken the liberty of immersing himself in the real Virgil's life, even going as far as living with the man's wife who has been receiving hush money to keep up the charade. The real Virgil Valentine's whereabouts are currently unknown.
- In reference to his former associates, Virgil has been linked to other criminal organizations in the past, however, his reasoning behind his decision to go completely dark under their noses remains uncertain. Perhaps he stooged off his partners to the police? Maybe he was responsible for a well-respected member's early trip to the morgue? Or a certain someone had tipped off his whereabouts to the authorities? Hell, he could've just gotten bored, and felt a change of scenery was the trick to refreshing a weary mind! Regardless, Virgil prefers that your own interpretation is left up to multiple choice.
- Two years after starting his life anew, Virgil caught the revolution's attention after interfering in their affairs once he had discovered the shoddy handiwork of two eager young initiates. Stumbling upon a gruesome, sanguineous scene which housed the hauntingly, frigid sights of three alabaster-colored corpses drenched in blood, it was a masterful work of art to be admired by those who were self-indulgent in their tastes of gratuitous homicide. Nevertheless, a rookie mistake brought upon by careless planning that would've certainly jeopardized their precious doctor had it been uncovered by anyone else. Lending his services out of charity, a few body bags, a prolonged soaking through a liquefying chemical bath, and a couple splashes of bleach was enough to remove any incriminating evidence that could lead to the notion of a crime. A selfless act that would earn Virgil's eventual recruitment into the revolution on the basis of ridding anything that could bring up legal consequences.
