Sitting slumped in his seat as he scrolled lazily down the screen of his laptop, Corin was unable to stifle the yawn that crept up on him. He'd gotten home late the night before, but it'd been worth getting an extra shift at the diner. Unfortunately for him, he hadn't been able to convince the owner to give him another shift the next morning because apparently he didn't want Corin overworking himself. What the owner didn't understand though, is that Corin needed the money. Mostly for food and rent, but he also had a few bills and his love for video games to fulfil. It actually probably wasn't the best idea to come to a coffee shop of all places to find sustenance. He didn't even want to buy an actual coffee in fear of not having enough money for food later on. All he'd allowed himself to get was a cookie. He really was pathetically poor. Letting out a slightly disheartened sigh, he glanced around the Starbucks absentmindedly.[break][break]
It was busy, people rushing in for their fix of caffeine before rushing back out again to get to whatever jobs they may have. Though, a lot of people had chosen to linger. In fact, Corin couldn't actually see a vacant table in the entire place. Maybe there were free seats outside, but from what he could see, there was at least one person to a table. He was pleasantly surprised that despite the large number of people, it wasn't very noisy.[break][break]
Taking a break from his computer, Corin rolled the sleeves of his hoodie over his wrists before reaching for the single cookie he'd bought. Nibbling on the sweet treat, he couldn't help but feel satisfied with his purchase, even with the pressing matter of money weighting down his shoulders. He might have to search for other ways of getting money again, and even though he didn't usually like to do it, hacking into stranger's bank accounts actually got him good money and relieved him of stress for a while. But, he'd wait a little long until he thought about doing that. He just wanted to enjoy his cookie first.
