[break] CHARACTER OVERVIEW[break] FRIENDS. nice guy, friendly, really needs to loosen up. Viable to get along with everyone but still be very private about his inner thoughts. He's also a sweetie, but maybe overly attached to taking care of others. [break][break] ENEMIES. if he doesn't like you, it's because you are a lazyass and don't work. Not to worry though, he's too nice to ever manage to communicate it effectively. If you don't like him, he's probably not aware enough to pay attention . . . which has its own problems. [break][break] LOVERS. feel free to have characters with crushes on him if you want, but I'm not really looking for him to be involved with anyone atm. I don't care about character gender but if you play a guy, you are probably in for an uphill battle. |

WANTED PLOTS. To make this all clear and pretty and understandable: I'm really into crime drama, a lot, so I have a bunch of impromptu plot ideas for anyone who might wanna try them on for size. This section will just go through whatever I've got in mind. Again, I'd love to hear from you if you're interested in anything, and these plots do not require new characters! (And it'd be great to see any plot ideas you've got for him, too!)
▶ he investigates kidnapping cases and, occasionally, missing persons. It would be interesting to me if either a character went missing (for some reason or another) or came to him looking to investigate a missing person—be it family, friend, etc. As FBI, this is especially true if the person had political affiliations or potentially crossed state lines. (So if you've got anyone who you'd like to see kidnapped, I'm sure we can come up with something . . . / brick'd)
[break][break]
▶ I'd love for him to have a partner-in-protocol-breaking. Especially b/c he's such a prude, c'mon, it would be fun to rile up his life with a hothead cop. He's also too much of a goody two shoes so CLEARLY what he needs is an enabler. Bonus points if they fight in the midst of Very Serious Situations, kind of like a hand-cuffed-until-you-like-each-other-friendship. (If you want, they could even jumpstart their little two hu/wo/man duo like this. Don't tell me it wouldn't be funny.)
[break][break]
▶ developing a friendship w/ a "passionate" conspiracy theorist who believes a bunch of crazy things about the "underground" and the "operation." I am sure Joseph will just be like, "buddy you need to stop reading about the Illuminati that tinfoil hat is cutting off the circulation to your brain—" (Bonus points if they are the type who actively prepares for zombie apocalypses and this actually becomes a plot point when he needs help.)
[break][break]
▶ I like creepy!adachi types who stalk potential victims and pretend to be nice as they are feeling out if you know about the nature of their murder or not, a la Disturbia. It would be interesting to me if he developed a suspenseful dynamic w/ someone actively looking to kill him for being too curious, but there would need to be a reason for it. Obviously, I am evil enough to be happy to spin up just such a reason w/ anyone interested.
[break][break]
▶ alternatively, perhaps he finds out someone he's friends with or works with belongs to the revolution and has to go against his personality and choose not to report them. Oh my, the crime drama. Bonus points if they are close or get along very well.
[break][break]
▶ I always really want to do a blackmail plot where things get messy and someone is forcing another person to help them indirectly with their crimes. It doesn't have to be him in this role, but I would love to be involved in that sort of set-up.
[break][break]
▶ a particularly tense investigation in collaboration w/ the police would be of interest. (And, by association, conflicts of interest with police officers too.) I love it when emotions run high because people are dying and they need a profiler and more man power and no one knows who is going to end up another victim, how exciting!
[break][break]
▶ I would kinda like for him to have an on-and-off friend he goes on dates with. It is not romantic so much as a fun way to spend time. He's not consistent enough to have a steady anything, and I think they both know that. This probably goes both ways.
[break][break]
▶ he needs a roommate to help him pay his living expenses, b/c Seattle is not cheap. Anyone with disposable income is welcome to apply.
[break][break]
▶ someone should get him drunk because he really shouldn't go within like thirty feet of alcohol i will literally pull all the stops just tell me what brand of comedy you most prefer
