A bit loud and obnoxious, but all with good intentions. Everett loves talking to people and making friends, and if given the opportunity, will chat anybody's ear off until his own tongue is bleeding. Sometimes he can come off as too strong, too much energy and too many smiles. He's fully aware of it, which is why one can catch him occasionally clamming up and going quiet in an odd and subdued way. He's perhaps a little too empathetic, a little too invested and too keen towards others. If asked, some would probably consider him a bleeding heart. They would be correct.
[break][break]
This, of course, makes him easy to take advantage of. Deny it as he might, he would do anything for somebody else, even at the cost of his own wellbeing, be it physically or mentally. Internally the kid is a bit of a raging storm. He's always at war with himself, fighting against his erratic tendencies and never-focused train of thought. A sufferer of ADHD? Could be. He wouldn't say whether he really was or not. Everett is horribly guilty of putting on masks. Even when he isn't feeling it, he'll grin like he just won the lottery and take the dare of playing with fire.
[break][break]
Ultimately, it's very easy to bring him down. All one has to do is talk to him a little differently, or give him the cold shoulder, and he'll internalize it drastically, trying to weed out what it was that he did and how he has the potential of fixing the problem (himself, presumably). Whether he likes it or not, he takes most things very personally. At a glance, it'd be difficult to conclude that he's like this, considering he likes to play the role of, "Fuck it, I don't care," most of the time. But he does. A little too much. You can sit back and watch him laugh it all off like he doesn't though.
[break][break]
In an attempt to keep himself at a more leveled out state, he's developed a horrible smoking habit over the years, as well as a tendency to keep to himself when the water gets choppy. It's hardly healthy, but he's good at making up excuses for his behaviors. A lot of his time is spent with his cat Chili, a Turkish Van he'd found on the side of the road some time back. She's helped him get through a lot, and there most certainly is a "I ❤️ my Cat" bumper sticker on his car.

On the lankier side of tall, standing just under 6'2", with a love for worn converse and plain tees. Occasionally he'll pull out an old sweater, if the weather proves too much for his treasured leather jacket to handle all on its own. Everett's hair is always a disastrous mess, not exactly by choice--any effort put towards grooming it into something more presentable will be null and void in a solid twenty minutes. Both his hands and his hair's habit of breaking loose of whatever style it's put into contribute.
[break][break]
Beneath his eyes he is constantly plagued by dark, heavy circles, an acquired look through the wondrous beauty routine of insomnia and heavy thoughts. Naturally his skin holds a tawniness to it, but long hours inside can sap it away some. When the sun is out and he soaks it up properly, he can darken a few hefty shades, which in turn emphasizes the pitch of his hair and the deep blue of his eyes. Normally they appear rather dark, tinted with gray and a ring of green near their very centers, but in the right lighting they brighten just enough to compare to the Atlantic. He has an annoyingly lopsided grin.
[break][break]
On his arms Everett has a plethora of tattoos he's obtained over the years. Some were gifted by friends or brief, yet trusted, acquaintances. Others had been collected during his travels. There's only one tattoo he has which isn't grouped with the rest: a small piece on his right side, over his ribcage. It's arguably his favorite, even if it doesn't get the spotlight much.

Stage Presence: If curious about the sound of Everett's band, check out Basement, particularly their Promise Everything album. Personally I headcanon his voice as sounding closest to the singer's in these songs, though most all are a great fit.

[attr="class","omapponetabs3"]SUBJECT BIOGRAPHY
][attr="class","omapponebio"]
[attr="class","omapponebio1"]
As a child things had been rather dreamy. His parents were head-over-heels for each other and his older brother was the perfect role model, perfect friend, perfect scapegoat for when he got himself into trouble. Everett had always had a knack for making things harder than they needed to be, but he got himself through school with fairly decent grades. He'd been a natural at math and his father had thought that maybe he'd pursue a career in engineering once he'd graduated, or something of the sort. Clearly that didn't happen.
[break][break]
During his junior year of high school the perfect family mold they'd been growing in cracked a little. Gabriel came out to the three of them and it went horribly askew. Their parents reacted so negatively that he didn't return home for a month, and Everett was left in the dust, trying to figure out how to get his best friend back. When his brother stepped in through the front door of their home again for the first time since his departure, he'd been met with brisk tolerance. Short words were exchanged and he watched as he climbed the stairs up to his bedroom.
[break][break]
Upon following him, he discovered that he was leaving. This time for good. Everett couldn't quite piece it all together at the time, but more had clearly gone on behind the curtain that he'd never been made aware of. Panicked and entirely distraught over the idea of losing his brother, he'd begged him to stay. Gabriel's denial had clenched at his heart a little too tightly, and he'd felt a betrayal he'd never experienced before. Although he knew his brother had his reasons for making such an absolute decision, it still stung, and he didn't take the time to think logically over it for a long time after the house grew quiet again.
[break][break]
Their contact from that point was sparse, until he too had moved out, fresh out of high school and desperate for a breath of fresh air. Instead of immediately jumping into college, he decided to go with one of his friends cross-country, since they were planning on attending school in Washington and he himself had never truly traveled before. It was a daring decision to make, and his parents had not once approved. But he'd done it anyways, and ended up loving the adventure. On the road he'd reconnected with Gabriel properly, and learned that he was living in Alaska, a place where he'd felt freedom like no other.
[break][break]
Absolutely intrigued, Everett took his time making his way to Alaska as well, both to visit and to see what all of the hype was about. It took him just over a year, during which he made some new friends and grew to know himself better than he ever had. Early into his trip he met a boy named Zero, and... they stuck together from that point on. Zero's situation had tugged harshly at his heartstrings, and in a moment of impulse he'd offered him a ride west, since they'd both been headed that way. What he hadn't been expecting was for a friendship to immediately bloom between them. It was as if they'd known each other all along.
[break][break]
The two traveled the full trip north, sharing countless laughs and quiet moments of understanding alike. A bond had immediately been born. Upon reaching the expanse of Alaska, the two teens eager to explore, it turned out that his brother wasn't so crazy after all. Everett completely understood what he'd meant about freedom. It was a new beginning. Yet as beautiful as the area was, he couldn't tie himself down. Instead he made the promise to visit as often as possible, and together he and Zero journeyed their way back south, ending up in Washington not long after.
[break][break]
It was better there. More opportunity, more people. A girl they'd met on his way to visit his brother actually lived in Seattle. Everett hadn't known, had never thought to ask too far into her personal life, but upon running into her again they'd hit it off like they had the first time, and after a few weeks of truly getting to know one another they'd decided to start a band. It'd taken time and quite a few trials to find the right fit for the needed remaining members, but after some diligent searches they'd managed to muster up a near-perfect group, and to this day they're still performing, fortunate enough to have hit it off well onstage.
[break][break]
To help with further expenses Everett has taken to occasionally picking up random jobs, but more often than not he can be found teaching music when he has the chance. He's had a lucky break, and he's fully aware of it.
