MISCELLANEOUS INFO
[attr="class","omapponemisc4"]
- Gavriila is fluent in three languages: English, Spanish, and obviously, Serbian. Though the only use she has found for the latter is with her family
- Serving the SWAT is actually a side job, as it's not actually a full timer, instead getting called from time to time. Gavriila works as a general practicioner in a drug store as a regular job
- She is pretty fond of classic literature, science and history. Overall, a very cult person
- Gavriila is a member of the humanitarian medical NGO, Doctors Without Borders, and is certified to exercise in over thirteen countries
- She stands at 183 cm (6 ft) and 75 kg (165 lb), with toned muscles and really marked abs under the button-up shirts she likes to wear
- As she knows how much it can damage a person's body, she hasn't smoked a single cigar since she was a teenager. However, she likes to drink every once in a while
- Gavriila likes to wear men's clothes, as they fit her without much trouble and finds them more comfortable than women's wear

][attr="class","omapponebio"]
[attr="class","omapponebio1"]
"Before you ask, no, I'm not russian. I'm Serbian-American; my parents moved here to Seattle looking for a change of routine, acoording to them. Or that's what they told me before I made it past junior high; then they dropped the bomb that they wanted to escape from the horrors they both lived during the Yugoslav Wars, a few decades ago. Ever heard about it? Well, my father was a part of the now extinct Yugoslav People's Army, and my mother was a doctor, like me. Their story is one hell of a tale, I tell you. Two lovers in a chaotic world; soldier and a war medic. But alas, I was born here. I honestly have no clue how father made it out alive, he never speaks about it. But I admire the man for it.
My childhood was good, I'd say. Father became a writer, telling tales about the war and making up a few; either way, he gained money and a bit of fame, and with mother not abandoning her previous profession, I'd dare say me, and my younger sister were raised in an affluent family. During my years as a high schooler, I became a bit of a heart-breaker; not really proud of that stage of my life, but it helped me discover that everyone had something in them that made them beautiful, and also that I had a soft spot for girls who were struggling with anxiety and depression. Sorry, but that's who I am.
And so, time passed and it was obvious to everyone that I had inherited my mother's talent for everything related to medicine. And I was happy to follow her steps as a doctor, but something kept bothering me.
I knew from the tales they both told me, that the place to save lives and care for people's health was the field, not an office. It took me five years into my college studies in Medicine and a little time of social service tending to the police department's wounded to gather my courage and tell my aging parents and sister, now a high schooler, that I would join the police to reach for the SWAT so I could have the opportunity to protect the innocent. Call me naive, but I saw police and military service as a noble duty.
Obviously, my parents were shaken up by my intentions. And I could understand why. It was hard for them to escape one hell, and now their daughter (who they tried their hardest to give a comfortable life) came up and told them she wanted to get into another type of hell to help as much as she could. Only when they noticed how similar I was to my mother back in the day in her intentions and after I reassured them that I could make it out alive, seeing as they made it out of a much more messed up situation, was then they allowed me to join the ranks. When I graduated from college, it was just the beginning of another odyssey.
It was rough and honestly, sometimes I felt it was pointless, but it took me a good two years as a patrol officer before getting the chance to join the SWAT. After I passed the training and was given the badge, I finally felt proud of myself. I was bringing medical expertise into a place where it really was needed. Not even when I received my Doctors Without Borders membership I remember being so happy and satisfied. I still work as a gp doctor in a small neighborhood drug store regularly, though, as SWAT becomes more of a side job.
So now I've been an active SWAT member for about two years, been in countless missions. But it's pretty obvious that all these weird-ass revolutionaries are becoming much more dangerous and daring; I even get called more often than usual. I turned to my parents' judgment and experience, as they lived a war. When I asked them about it, they told me to take care of myself, but also that I should try my hardest to stop them. A spark left unhandled could easily turn into a bonfire even if it wasn't it's first intention. They know very well what can happen when a few riots turn into a full-scale war. Rape, genocide, anarchy, terror. The worst part? I'm worried that my younger sister is getting into this, as one of the revolutionists. She won't talk to me, and she has always been secretive about her beliefs.
This won't be another dark and bloody chapter in mankind's history. I'll make sure of it"
