༄ i guess i'd call myself buddhist? i'm closer to believing in it as a philosophy but the spiritual stuff also sits well with me and i resonate with it so -shrug-. let's say i'm on the border of agnostic and buddhist.

early life

- Majority of childhood was being confined to a car seat. Couldn't properly develop bone and muscle.
- Neglected as a baby until she was dumped on her grandparents.
- Learned Chinese and Vietnamese before English. Only learned how to speak English in school.
- Family was scared when she was born; they were worried that she will be just like her mother and father.

- Mother and father divorced; dumped with grandparents for the majority of her childhood. Took no pity on herself; viewed grandma and grandpa as her parents.
- Developed an irrational fear of losing grandma and grandpa.
- Father remarried to step mom; step mom didn't really like her step daughter. Tried to convince father to have another child in hopes both children will exclude her.
- Had a strong relationship with grandma and grandpa; considers this the happiest time of her life.
- Little brother is born when she was four.
- Grandfather fell and broke his hip on her birthday.

- Anxiety began developing even more.
- Bullying at school contributes to eventual development of schizophrenia and paranoia.
- Grandfather passes away - wracked with grief. Family underestimates the impact it had on her and assume she wasn't as hurt as them.
- Father's abuse towards her grows more violent and physical.
- Step mother would harass on appearances and occasionally grab.. places, and made degrading comments.

house three: middle school

- Abuse became more violent after moving
- Bullied for childish reasons for the next two years - further contributed to lack of self esteem and worth
- Father was diagnosed with cancer; discord between her and father's relationship grew
- Suicide attempt: Drenched self in cooking oil in hopes to light herself aflame and die in the garage.

high school: pre-death

- Time not used for studying is used to treat father
- School life significantly improved; made friends and actually liked going to class and school
- Paid about $1.25/hour when she was working for her step mom at her nail salon; but it was usually without pay.
- Father got even more violent, the usual stuff.
- Confided even more online, isolating herself from her family even more.

high school: death

- Father passes away
- After showing affection towards her, for the first time in twelve years.
- Step mother becomes all the more ruthless
- Family accuses her of not caring or being affected by her father's death
- Tried not to cry, for sake of supporting her brother and grandmother after the death of her father
- Finally moved out from her step mother's house after a year.

high school: post death

- Went to live with aunt, who began charging rent when she found out she was getting money from the government as a survivor's pension
- Started a lawsuit against step mom for not giving her the rights to her father's will, life insurance and college savings started by him
- Won the year long case; lawyer was compassionate and gave her a large discount.
- Meanwhile, life with aunt wasn't the best. Frequent conflicts and arguments happened.
- Dark thoughts scared her while under the effect of stress; ended up self harming while laughing and crying all the same.
- Never spoke with the majority of the family again after moving out.
