 One would expect being an enforcer would satisfy even the scrappiest person's wish to fight, the thing was if an enforcer had to fight an awful lot, they were probably shit at their job. Raid liked to think he was efficient, his small size and speed lending him the element of surprise and getting the first hit in. A plus side to balance out the dysphoria. The thing was, that wasn't a fight, it was a brutality. Sometimes he just wanted to throw hands, clap the other person on the back and buy a couple drinks after.[break][break] Of course, coming to a bar that wasn't exactly the scummy type wasn't giving him any luck. He'd had two drinks already, fairly low percentage. The last thing he needed was to slip back into his old habits there, but it'd be rude to sit at the bar and not have a drink or two. A couple of people had approached him, clearly mistaking his long hair for belonging to a woman. Turning to face the idiot and baring his teeth was enough to have those lovely suitors clearing off. If he was there to fuck, he'd be wearing something completely different. [break][break] It was starting to look like that may be his only option. It stimulated the same part of the brain he supposed, but still, he'd need to come back he next day to try again. Hearing someone else approach, he turned his head to look at them, modified yellow eyes offering the sharpest glare he could manage, though depending on how this went, they may soften. it'd been a long week. long, exhausting, and kind of draining. very draining - a bit expected, considering the job. tord wasn't a monster - he refused to think of himself as such - and no one who wasn't a monster could be a hitman without feeling drained after a busy week. he didn't have any more hits - lydian and nikki probably had any he missed - and now... relaxation.[break][break]

the norwegian expected his trip to the bar to be as uneventful as his usual life - getting wasted, picking up dudes, laying havoc, and passing out. look, he doesn't have his life together, nor does he care. spending upwards an hour at a table, functioning eye scouring for prey, thorfrid drummed bored fingers against his small table. he'd noticed someone colorful - raid - and had grown to idly watch him most of the time there.[break][break]
many people would go to him, and many people would shoo away - tord knew the feeling and would smirk every time, before finally working up the 'courage' to approach. being pretty high on the hierarchy had its perks - raid, 22, enforcer. that... was the extent of tord's knowledge, but, look, it's still pretty impressive. with a grin he sat next to the enforcer, making sure his 'good side' was the one visible - he'd had to scare another person off.[break][break]

...Well, at the very least, Raid recognized this one. A bit lost on a name, but he knew that the dude next to him was a well respected assassin, and was climbing the ranks quickly. Impressive, really, demanding at least a little respect, and so he decided not to bare his teeth - not that that would have any effect.[break][break] For some reason, Raid was almost expecting better than a cop-out eye comment. It was easy to tell Tord was anxious about something. It didn't look like fear - why would he fear Raid anyway? - just tension. Uncomfortable in the situation he'd put himself in, or something else? He wasn't turning his head all that much, was he? It clicked what was going on then, not that there was a polite way to say 'hey I know your face is scarred, it's fine dude, it's kinda hot'.[break][break] "Aye can't blame a guy for trying." the jab was a bit alarming - unsettling in a way that made him feel nervous. with a sheepish chuckle, tord leaned back in his seat, slugging a shot and giving a wary grin to raid. "ah, no, i - uh - i, just did not want to freak you out, that's all." he rubbed the back of his neck, glancing away for a moment and tapping his fingers along his skin, before turning back to raid, full face, giving a nervous grin.
