It’s surprisingly cute, actually, the way she just blurts it -- as if she’d never been expecting to ask, as if she’d been merely considering it and her brain had made a snap decision for her. The woman is blushing, too. An added bonus. Aggie’s never really had this problem before -- she’d always offer up a business card, maybe put her number in someone else’s phone, but she’d never been deliberately asked for her number before. It’s a good feeling, and Aggie takes it in stride.
Stepping back into the kitchen, Aggie tugs open a drawer full of pens and a little pad of paper and she quickly scribbles her number onto the blank sheet she’s just produced. The area code isn’t local; it’s an Alabamian area code, her personal number as opposed to her work number. Aggie slides the piece of paper across the counter towards Adrian with a smile. ”There ‘ya go.”
The pink-haired woman is smiling, so genuine, so happy, and Aggie has to wonder whether or not she herself had been the cause of that. Asking Adrian to stay hadn’t been an act of libido -- she hadn’t been asking for an extension on the sex, but for a companion on a day off (although she wouldn’t complain either way). Aggie steps around the counter with a smile. ’You’re in luck,” she says, the amusement in her voice plain, ”Because I’ve got a day off today.”
Aggie sweeps an arm out, blonde brows raised knowingly. ”We got the whole place to ourselves. All the time in the world, if you know what you wanna do with it.”

Something they shared in common but Adrian’s New York accident in some cases could be harder to pick up than Aggie’s Southern one.[break] [break] Regardless, Adrian is delighted to receive the phone number and even moreso to discover the woman shared the day off as well. Though she’d yet only met the blonde (even if they shared such an intimate night) they were strangers and she floundered for something they could do together that didn’t include rolling around in the sheets again (not that she’d complain, at all).[break] [break] When she was younger she often played the twenty-questions game to get to know people— or simply to see her best friend suffer because she adored the game and Quin for all he tried, ran out of questions for things he didn’t know about her all too quick. They’d only lived and grew up with each other after all. [break] [break] But Aggie was unfamiliar and despite the game being something they could do to get to know each other (or at least, the polite basics) she wasn’t sure the woman would entertain the childish idea. Tucking the paper with her number on it beneath her phone (she’d spotted it while she cooked, tossed on some couch end-stand hazardously, a desperate attempt to get rid of it and use her hands for something else, she was sure). [break] [break] Tapping her finger against her chin she verbalized a long drawn out (maybe childish) sounding hmm. “Movie? Or game?” She figures she could toss the option in anyway, “Or—” She squints, mostly to herself as she ponders, twisting puckered lips as she considers the options and her gaze drops to the floor. Though the idea of going out had been on the table she was quick to realize she still hadn’t a pair of clothes to change into that wasn’t scandalous or stealing her newfound friends. [break] [break] “Bumming out on the couch and cuddling?” She looks back up at Aggie and gives a sly smile. "I'm up for anything you'd like to do." As far as Aggie is concerned, she’s a certifiable connoisseur when it comes to watching movies for hours on end. It’s a bad habit she’d developed during her first few years as an independent woman, out of that little clapboard house in Alabama and into an apartment of her own. She’d spend days holed up in her little one-bedroom, laptop across her thighs and fistfuls of popcorn at her side. [break][break]
Really, she thinks, the reason she’d gotten so into watching movies is because she’d never been allowed to under her father’s cruel, watchful gaze. Like many other things in her life, she’s motivated to watch movies strictly out of spite -- and like many other things in her life, she’s found that spitefulness aside, she truly enjoys doing the things her father had so tightly restricted her from. Watching movies is almost a religious experience for Aggie -- she has to be in the right mood, has to be in the right mindset, has to fully prepare herself for those next several hours of stillness. Generally, watching movies is something she does by herself -- sure, she’ll watch girly chick-flicks with Nikki from time to time, but movies are definitely something better left alone.[break][break]
So looking at Adrian, she shakes her head. ”Movies doesn’t sound good to me. Not right now, I mean.” Not wanting to sound rude, she adds. ”I mean, cuddling would be great. But not, uh- during a movie.” Aggie nods.[break][break]
And then, because Aggie is truly a workaholic, smiles and claps her hands excitedly. ”You wanna model for me? I can get you some pretty clothes and I’ll take some nice pictures of ‘ya. You could be in a magazine soon, if you wanted. I could make it happen. Plus, it’ll be fun.”
