It was late. He didn’t know what time it was, but he didn’t particularly care. He hadn’t bothered to check his phone before he left the bar. If he were more honest with himself, he’d admit that the only reason he hadn’t checked is because he doubted he could read the numbers on the bright screen. The point was it was late. He’d danced for a long time and hadn’t managed to find anyone interested enough or gay enough to take back to his bed. The walk home after getting laid was not what he considered the Walk of Shame. The walk home after a night of not being able to get laid was the real Walk of Shame and he wasn’t happy to be taking the first step of that walk. Or was it a stumble? It didn’t matter. He needed to get home. Preferably by car, but he’d fucking walk if he couldn’t find an uber or a taxi.

The longer he stood outside in the cold, the more apparent it was becoming that looking for a taxi was a bust. Shit. He couldn’t use his phone, not reliably anyway. Was he really going to have to walk? He certainly hadn’t dressed for the weather, the chill starting to sink through his tight pants and loose shirt. His choice of footwear wasn’t exactly practical either, but the high wedges certainly made his legs look damn good. He was still at a loss as why he hadn’t been able to pick up anyone. Maybe it was the amount of alcohol he’d consumed? Hmm… no, that couldn’t be it. That would have to be a mystery for Hungover Beau to solve in the morning.

Beau swayed dangerously, but managed to stay upright. It was very difficult though. Maybe taking off his shoes would be wise. But that would mean he’d have to walk around with no shoes on. In Seattle. Fuck that. Ugh, maybe it’d be better if he just stayed at the bar for a little longer. Another cocktail couldn’t be a bad idea right? Beau was just about to stumble back into the building when something stopped him. A wall? He looked up, squinting through shocks of his newly redyed blue hair. Not a wall. A man. A very tall, very handsome man. That was promising. Yet, when he opened his mouth, the only thing that slurred out was, “The hell?”
