Despite her own preconceived perceptions of her self-image, Aroura has a hard time going unnoticed as far as her appearance goes, try as she might to humble herself. She is no model, but she certainly isn't the lackluster wall-flower she envisions herself as. Her true southern auburn hair, in all its temperamental curl, is usually pulled back in a tight pony-tail for practicality's sake. Her ivory pale skin is adorned with several constellations worth of freckles that multiply or dissipate depending on how much sun she has been getting. The sergeant stands slightly above average at 5'8", with a toned build. She adorns herself in only the most sensible clothes on the rare occasions she is not in uniform, but, if you could somehow trick her into putting on a dress, she just might wow the room.
[break][break] Aroura has a personality that often contradicts itself. Her cerulean eyes are sharp with suspicion but have a knack for making those with rough edges feel appreciated and seen. Her heart aches with love and yearning with every child she encounters. She is quick to leap to their defense, and slow to forgive those whom lose their trust. Aroura is fiery yet subdued, stubborn but a team player, haunted, but has a heart full of hopefulness for the pure good she knows there is in the world.
[break][break] In terms of her skills as an officer, she is a formidable marksman and well trained in hand-to-hand combat. Aro has shot competitively since she was old enough to hunt and she initially learned Hapkido from her late father when she was a girl. Since completing the Academy, she has learned three more types of martial arts such as Judo, Jiu Jitsu, and Krav Maga.

- Aroura Rose O'Kane married wealthy Daniel Thomas Walker at 21 in her home town in Mississippi. After a year of marriage, the couple welcomed their daughter Angela Rayne Walker in to the world.
- Before Angela's first birthday, a fire woke the Walker's in their sleep. Aro and Angela managed to get out of the house, but Daniel did not. However, Angela later died from smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire was reported as arson and, as a now wealthy widow, Aro was drawn in as a suspect. The charges against her were dropped, but the glares from the small town inhabitants were unbearable. Aroura left with what few possessions the fire did not consume including her husbands wedding band, which she bound around a cross necklace she never takes off. She is still haunted by--and hunting--the person who killed her family and framed her for it.
- Aro found a new passion in the wake of her loss. Her drive for justice for her family turned into dedicated justice for the innocent as a whole. She moved to Louisiana, graduated from the police academy, and became a damn good detective.
- Another scare on her life and her partner's advice found her taking a very short stint in Alaska, but she decided the small town life dredged up too many memories of the family she had lost.
- Deciding to stick with a more northerly location, Aro moved here to yet again restart her life. Maybe one day, she will find somewhere to call home.
