MISCELLANEOUS INFO
[attr="class","omapponemisc4"]
● Suffers from a case of anterograde amnesia, credit to a brain injury incurred during a car crash some years ago. Daniel is able to recall memories from before the crash as well as ever, but struggles to retain memories of events that have happened and continue to happen after a few minutes of their happening. Most of his "memories" in recent years are documented in journals and self-recorded audio tapes, stored haphazardly about his apartment as his own physical "memory bank".[break][break]
● Took a seven year long break between college semesters, having felt that he had to quit early on into his higher education on account of his injury. Said injury has made studies a challenge, to say the very least, with only his procedural memory remaining reliable; he's swapped majors on more than one occasion, currently studying music, hoping to find the one that will ultimately work.[break][break]
● Plays a lot of video games in his spare time, although a personal favorite of his has always been the Pokemon franchise. While his "skills" in most games are nothing too impressive, Danny makes a point to travel to as many Pokemon tournaments as possible - and usually walks away with the top prize.[break][break]
● Would be something of a crazy dog man with a dozen furry friends if not for his fear of being unable to properly care for them. To make up for this, he volunteers when he can at local animal shelters, supporting animals in need without fear of harming them in accidental negligence.

[attr="class","omapponetabs3"]SUBJECT BIOGRAPHY
][attr="class","omapponebio"]
[attr="class","omapponebio1"]
There is fire all around you – behind your eyes, scrapping at your bones, coughing smoke into your lungs until you can't breathe – and nothing beyond its golden brilliance catches your attention. Voices wail, sirens gurgling in hushed volume beneath the surface of an ocean named shock, but they don't catch your ear. You can't see your shattered leg, and you can't feel the blood dripping into your eyes, and you can't think about anything but the way you're burning, burning, burning.[break][break]
You can't recall when it is, exactly, that you fall to slumber.[break][break]
(You never remember anything after that.)[break][break]
● An unremarkable boy born to an unremarkable family. Daniel spent his youth with his aspirations kept small and his grades kept passable, flying through youth with no siblings, a large group of friends, but nothing of note to label a claim-to-fame. A love for mathematics inspired his earliest major in college when the time came to fly the coop, albeit a major that was short lived.[break][break]
● Daniel was riding passenger on the way home to the dorms when he and his roommate were caught in a terrible drunk driving accident, resulting in the death of the other driver and the hospitalization of both students. Despite a slow recovery, his friend managed to work his way back to normalcy. Danny, himself, sustained a brain injury that has since hampered his ability to retain memories.[break][break]
● Friends and family alike found themselves at a loss at how to deal with his condition. While the most loyal stayed, albeit at a distant, the college student found both friends and grades slipping through his fingers. In the end, he dropped out after only a year and a half, figuring school to now be a lost cause.[break][break]
● The next years of his life went toward low paying jobs across the city – few of which would take him, and fewer still that would keep him around for long. After many strike outs, he found himself in the employment of a nearby hospital, where the kind staff help him in his housekeeper work to this date.[break][break]
● A rush of passion some seven years after his first failed attempt at school drove him back to his old university. While studies were no less of a struggle than they had been before, Danny was blessed with the help and company of one of his professors, Dr. DuVall, who, while not able to make the material easy, certainly made it relatively manageable. It was during this same stretch of time that an unexpected upturn in his condition made itself known: even if his short-term memory was more or less done for, he could at least remember Walker, who stole his heart more and more with the passing days.[break][break]
● (Walker, who was dying where he stood. Walker, who struggled enough under the weight of work and death without having also to manage his broken student. Walker, who cried to him openly as he smiled and laughed and squeezed his hand – because it didn't matter, not to him, he loved him, he loved him, he loved him -)[break][break]
● Love didn't fix brain injuries. Love didn't fix terminal illness. Daniel screwed up his courage to tell him, once and for all, but by then, Walker was little more than a ghost in a morning fog: indistinguishable in the contrast of white on white. Gone, just like all the rest.[break][break]
● Really, now - what did he expect?
