Lies. Emilio's life for so long seemed to be nothing but pointless lies. Lies to please, to ease, to get people to leave him alone. At one point, he hated it. At another he stopped caring, stopped feeling, became numb to it all. There was a vague misery, a disgust in himself. The scars on his arms, on his legs, they told of story of self loathing that he'd hoped would end when he moved to Seattle. For the first few months, it didn't and he fell further, deeper into the darkness. Things began to perk up when he stumbled upon one of Doctor X's speeches in Occidental Park, ah, but at that moment he was Alexander Wayne, a politician, not Doctor X. It didn't take long for him to be pulled into Operation: Mindcrime. He had nothing to lose and everything to gain, after all, and gain he did. Doctor X gave him a purpose he'd so longed for and a use for his skills, a use for his lies. He made him stronger, raised him higher than he ever had been before. Emilio had never felt more secure, never felt so strongly that he belonged here. Even if the other revolutionists shied away from him, even if his friends were near nonexistent, it never brought him down because he was doing good for once, he was helping, he was useful.

Emilio isn't exactly one to have many friends. He's not very trusting and he's lies upon lies, sweet words and false smiles and the other revolutionists know this. With him, there's no telling what's real and what isn't. It's a constant game of "is he telling the truth?" and it's a game most don't want to play. It's a game Emilio's playing as well, just as unsure, just as doubting of himself, of the things he says. It's hard to tell what's truth and lie when you have no idea who you are. He's insecure, doubting constantly what potential friends see in him, pushing them away because how can they be friends when they're just interested in one of his masks, one of his lies?

Enemies come much more easily to Emilio than friends do. He can even count revolutionists under this category, as there are those who hate him for his fundamental lying nature. There are also those he's played and deceived who despise him, but few ever learn, ever know that he used them for information. Most of his enemies are really ex-lovers, people he slept with or dated for information and left the moment he had everything he needed.

Love is something that's extremely unfamiliar to Emilio. Even as Morgan and Elliott teach him, he still feels lost, he still feels unworthy of love. He feels constantly like he's lying to them, that they're in love with a lie because how can they love him when he doesn't even know who he is? He's still learning, but he's trying his best.

Sex, though, sex is something Emilio is very familiar with. He's got a long list of people he's slept with and it only gets longer, not exactly being the type to limit himself to one partner, romantic or otherwise.

Okay, but consider this ~~awful~~ plot idea: The two bump into each other (for RP convenience, probably in the past as to avoid, like, “YO, bumped into you the street, WHAT'S YOUR NAME AND LIFE STORY” threads and skip to the “good” parts) at some point, have a decent conversation, go their separate ways, yada yada yada. Skip ahead, like. A couple days. Emmy is talkin' to someone else, but since he adapts to fit what the other person wants to hear, he's... well, quite different from the Emmy that Vivi met before. Instead of getting mad about basically being lied to, though, (or him lying to someone ELSE, because SOMEONE'S getting' lied to in the end) she's basically way too impressed by his acting to feel much of anything else about the matter. Now, SHE'S been trying – and failing – to perfect the “I'm a bad girl, fear me” attitude, and on seeing him interact with other people in completely different ways, she sees an opportunity. And is basically like, “I know what you're doing. Teach me, senpai.”[break][break]

And then after that, they bond over a mutual love of birds and all is good in the world, tHAT'S LITERALLY ALL I'VE GOT, I'M SO SORRY.

I offered to thread with ya, but I thought posting to your plot page first would be good so that we know which direction to go? Or something. IDK! But I think these two would at least have a mutual understanding of what it means to be in the revolution together. Finn has suffered from discrimination, just like Emilio, though their situations are totally different. They'd at least have that in common. I don't see her disliking him, but I don't see him being her favorite person (in reality, he would probably creep her out; but that's the effect you want, right?) They'd at least be able to work together, perhaps since he is a spy, he could help her track down who to beat up and such. Tag team, sort of thing![break][break]

But if they're not working, perhaps they'd at least have a bit of a simple conversation. She knows she has to at least try to get along with her fellow revolutionists because Doctor X is always watching... So she'd try to be civil? You say you want someone who can make him feel things, too... Finn is good at pushing buttons, so maybe she could try to make him angry at some point? Lemme know what you think!

ugh, these two need to meet. corin would definitely be wary of him that first, (he's cautious around pretty people mostly because of personal experience) but he'd probably be quick to settle down. he probably wouldn't necessarily trust him at first, but he'd probably be kind of curious about emilio. like if emmy ever mention the fact he's polyamorous, he'd be curious, i guess? like he's heard about it, but always been told that there was no way it was an actual thing. (tbh, corin actually hasn't identified himself as demisexual because he's been repeatedly told by several people in his life that it isn't a thing, so he just thinks he's weird.) so, maybe emmy would realise how oblivious corin is and inform him all about all that stuff. it's just an idea!![break][break]
