He's only a sous-chef, so he's not exactly up-and-coming yet, but his cooking is nothing to balk at. As a general rule, he dislikes meeting new people, even though he knows this is all part of life and 80% of the time he enjoys new company, but it's that 20% of people he just can't get himself to understand that worries him. The pessimist that he is tends to assume the worst, so that if anything, he'd just be pleasantly surprised should things not work out the way he thought they would. Despite being occasionally socially awkward and not being the best at conversation, humor usually makes up for it and Robert makes pretty good company. Especially alongside a drink. [break][break] FRIENDS OR SOMETHINGRobert makes a fantastic friend. He's reliable, good at cheering people up, and sturdy; yet he won't understand when the occasional sad friend reaches out. He'll always wonder why it's him, because he's too humble (and I suppose naive) to realise that a good listener is hard to come by. Friends that stick by to send you funny pictures and laugh at your jokes just to be polite, friends that lend you money and buy you a drink if they can because it's nice seeing others smile in response. He's a gem, but he doesn't have a grasp on that yet. You'll wonder why Robert has a tendency to sell himself short. [break][break] ENEMIES??Robert will rub some people the wrong way, but it's usually pretty cut-and-dry with him. He tends to decide right away upon meeting someone whether he likes them or not - not the best strategy, but - after that he loses interest and will probably avoid you for lack of wanting to get annoyed. Anyone working under him as a cook might not be his biggest fan, because sometimes his standards are higher than the chef's, though Robert wouldn't have the gall to even think it. He's quaint and lovely but he'll yell at you in the freezer if you can't get your shit together, if you're not capable of holding it together on the line like everyone else can working longer shifts, etc - he's a professional and you should keep up. This side of him, however, is rare to come out outside of work. [break][break] LOVE YOU, BOOHe's still lowkey hurting over the loss of his ex, Claire, but he's better than he was a year ago. Robert makes a fantastic boyfriend, if you can get past his working 50-60 hours each week. He'll make you his priority, though - straight home from work, or he'll see if you want to join the kitchen staff for a beer. He'll take you out to dinner, surprise you with flowers, and probably fall for you like a rock if you let him. Robert needs someone independent - who can handle his working, especially during the holidays. Someone who's goal-oriented and is working towards a career like him, so he knows they can carry their weight. Someone a little bit zany, and someone who appreciates puns. If you can't handle a clever pun, it's just not going to work. WANTEDCouple old friends would be gr8. A love interest of some sort. His relationship with Claire was sort of perfect, so he could use a taste of reality and have something fuck up on him. I'm a believer in kinda roleplaying it out, so toss me your ideas and we can see what happens in a thread! |
