While the masses struggle through mediocrity and the ever elusive dream of financial stability, members of the King's Society revel in money both old and new and the power of standing above consequence that comes with it (or so it had been for years, before a revolution shook their security to its roots). As their fathers and mothers before them, the greenest millionaires and strapping young heirs gather together with other wealthy elites of their kind to mingle, gamble, and... well, that's for them to know and “the commoners” to never find out. What happens within the King's Society, after all, stays within the King's Society.

At it's simplest, the King's Society is a circle of wealthy elite who gather weekly at the Waterfall Garden to gossip and indulge. To describe the members as “friends” may be a bit of a stretch: think not of birthday gatherings, but instead of Real Housewives reunions where alliances may exist, shifting like water, but there's always someone at another's throat. Fortunately, these aggressions tend to stay closer within the realm of side-given leers and passive aggressive remarks. If these meetings constantly dissolved into fist fights, why, they may lose the reservation! While business partners may congregate here, however, very little talk of actual work slips in through these doors. When the Society was created, it was intended to be an escape, both from the stress of the working world and from the usual bad blood that may run between its members. While efforts have more or less fallen through on the latter, most every member over the time of the Society's existence have at least managed to abide by that first principal.

The worries of the outside world, then, rarely rear their ugly heads – but as the faces of old members disappear from meetings only to reappear in the daily obituaries, even the high and mighty find their foundation beginning to shake.
